CHAINGUARD I-15

CHAINGUARD™ I-15 is a highly effective scavenger for free radicals and is widely used to terminate (shortstop) the free-radical emulsion polymerizations of styrene-butadiene and acrylonitrile-butadiene in the production of SBR (styrene butadiene rubber) and NBR (acrylonitrile butadiene rubber) elastomers, respectively. It is also expected to be effective in stopping other polymerizations that proceed via a free radical mechanism. CHAINGUARD I-15 is accepted worldwide for meeting the German TRGS552 standard concerning nitrosamines in rubber.
