With operations around the world, one of our largest and most important stakeholder groups is the communities in which we operate. We are aware that our activities have a direct impact on these communities, and community engagement and outreach enables ANGUS to support its commitment to operating as a responsible corporate citizen.
We encourage and assist employee volunteers in their community-building activities. In many of our facilities our employees partner with local charities to raise funding for medical research or address local health and human needs. As an organization, ANGUS also enthusiastically supports the education of young students and provides inspiration for the next generations of our world’s scientific leaders.
Our team in Sterlington, Louisiana, sponsors and organizes an annual charity golf tournament that has raised close to $500,000 over the past 10 years in support of local charity and development programs. Also, through our engagement with local secondary education institutions in Northern Louisiana, we are providing career development opportunities to help inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
